Crimson Rift

This blank is richly spalted white oak stabilized with a deep crimson dye. It measures 5" x 1" x 1 1/2" and carries the appearance of ancient wood split by time and reclaimed by fire. The natural spalting creates dramatic lines and patterns throughout the grain, while the cracks, voids, and end grain character have been filled with a striking matte black acrylic that creates bold contrast against the dark red tones.
