Midnight Hedgerown

From the old fence rows of the Kansas prairie comes a material with a story to tell.

Midnight Hedgerow captures the rugged beauty of Osage Orange in an unexpected form. Natural golden Osage Orange shavings are suspended in deep black acrylic, creating a striking contrast of warm wood tones against a rich, dark background.

The scattered shavings form an intricate, organic pattern reminiscent of tangled hedgerows stretching across the Flint Hills. Each shaving brings its own shape and character, transforming what might otherwise be discarded into a distinctive material for makers.

Part of our Prairie Remnants Collection, Midnight Hedgerow celebrates the beauty of reclaimed materials, the resourcefulness of traditional craftsmanship, and the enduring character of the Kansas landscape.

Whether turned into a beautiful writing instrument or incorporated into another small project, this hybrid blank offers an eye-catching combination of natural texture and bold color.
