The Molten Alloy Relic begins with beautifully spalted maple dyed a vivid orange, bringing out the wandering lines, natural markings, and character hidden throughout the wood.

Surrounding the maple is a swirling mixture of pewter and bronze acrylic, creating ribbons of metallic color that seem to move around the wood like molten metal caught mid-pour.

Cool pewter plays against warm bronze, while the orange maple burns through the center of the piece. The combination creates incredible contrast without hiding the natural spalting that makes the wood so distinctive.

As the piece is shaped, new patterns of orange, bronze, silver-gray, and natural spalting will emerge—making the finished handle completely one of a kind.

Bold, warm, metallic, and just a little unpredictable.
